DC Haul

Hello everyone. So sorry that I haven't blogged in a while. Whoops! Today on the blog I have a haul for everyone. I have been requested multiple times to do a haul. Please know that I am in NO WAY WHAT SO EVER trying to "show off" the items that I have purchased. I purchased it all with my own money and have been saving up for this trip for quite a while now. So let's get started. 

The first store that we went to was Anthropologie. For a very long time I have wanted the Q & A a day book as well as the monogram mug. I am very excited that I have finally purchased both of these items! 

The next store that we went to was the Lilly Pulitzer store Pink Palm. After my friends and I spent hours in the store we finally walked out with some items. They were having a huge sidewalk sale, and most of the summer items were 20% to 50% off. Today I scored a Lilly murfee scarf for $56 due to the fact that it was 50% off! It is in the print pop pink.

Then we went to LuLuLemon. I have had previous headbands from this store, but I have misplaced them. The one that I purchased today is the swiftly style, and it is a dark grey color. This will be great for pulling my hair back when I run track & cross country, and for washing my face. The white one is my friends! 

As many of you may know, Francesca's is a must if you are in an area that has one. I seriously had to stop myself from buying the whole rack of jewelry. Everything is so so cute! I finally decided on purchasing two things. The first piece if jewelry that I purchased is this adorable watch.

 It has a gold leather band and a multi glitter face. It reminds me of Kate Spade! 

I also purchased this simple, dainty bangle like bracelet that will look adorable with my daily stacks. 

It is gold rimmed with a braided like material in pink, yellow, and green. 

The last store I am going to be covering in this haul is called Ginger. My friends and I were walking by the store and something glittery (as always) caught my eye. I ended up buying this large glitter bag/pouch. The best part about it is that it was on sale! I scored it for $5! What a deal.

my accounts 1 yr anniversary

Hello everyone! Today on the blog I have some very special news. Today marks the one year anniversary of my account! I created my account today one year ago. Time really does fly by! However, I did not officially start posting on my instagram until November. Anyways, I felt like I should share with you all a little bit of history of my account, and how pink & preppy got started. 

One year ago today, I was looking for a fun summer project to do. Some friends were over and they told me that I had some really good fashion ideas and that I should do "one of those preppy accounts". Little did I know that a year later I would have as many followers as I do now. 

I started with posting pictures that I found on Polyvore or Google. Then my friend Gracie suggested that I should post some of my own pictures, and I did. As you all know now, I only post my own pictures! 

I really enjoyed it and I started to gain more and more followers. I was contacted by a highly popular monogram shop (that is now M.I.A) when I reached 500 followers which was on thanksgiving. They asked me if I was interested in doing a giveaway with them. Of course at the time I didn't know if it would help my account grow, and surely enough, it did. 

Fast forward a few weeks and it is now Christmas Eve, and I gained 250 followers in one week!! I was so excited because that meant I now had 700 followers! 

By the time January rolled around I reach 1000. Yes! I did another giveaway to celebrate my accomplishment. Some of my followers suggested I create a blog. I was very nervous and hesitant. Before long, I had one! I was hesitant because I didn't know if it would become an abandoned project. And yep you guessed it... it did. My last blog post was back in March. 

Now fast forward to now. I am a growing account and I now have 1500 dearly loved followers. I have decided to start blogging a lot more. Every Sunday and Wednesday to be exact. You may be wondering why I am doing this. Well, about a month ago, I created a YouTube account. I uploaded one very crappy video. (Sorry about the language :) ) I then started to think about negative things that might come out of it and just decided that I am going to wait a little longer until I gain more followers. I just don't want to make videos if I am only going to get 30-40 views per video if ya know what I mean. So I have just decided that I would rather blog. I enjoy writing, so this is fun for me. 

In the future, I plan on doing many more blog posts, and who knows, maybe a YouTube video! When I reach 2000 followers (I'm only 500 away) I will be doing a HUGEE giveaway with everyone's favorite brands! I am going to Jamaica in October, so you can expect a few blog posts about that in the future. Also, many back to school posts!

Avid Tea Drinker

As many of you may know, I am an avid tea drinker. I have a cup of hot tea in the morning & one at night. It's very addicting! 

I often get asked what teas I would recommend. Here are my "Tea Tips". 

My all time favorite tea is the TAZO calm chamomile tea. It is "a comforting herbal infusion of chamomile, rose petals & soothing herbs". At least that is what it says on the box. I usually put a dash of honey in at night. 

My next favorite tea is the Bigelow assorted teas variety pack. This pack basically gives you a sample of everything if you cannot just pick one. It includes Lemon Lift, Green Tea, Constant Comment, Earl Gray, *Plantation Mint, and *English Teatime. (Some of my favorites have a * by them)

Essie is my Bestie ♡

I know the one problem that we all face.... finding the best nail polish. I have recently been asked about what polishes I do and do not use, so today I am here to give you the 411 about my favorite polishes! 

The title should tell you all. Essie is by FAR my favorite nail polish to use. It is very easy to apply and stays smooth on your nails. It also come in a variety of beautiful colors for any season. However, it can get a little pricey... $8.50 a bottle, but it is totally worth it! 

 The darker shade on the left is carry on and is a great pigment for the winter or fall months. 

Beside that is chinchilly. It is a great shade of lighter purple that doesn't scream look at me! 

The beautiful blue shade is bikini so teeny . I love this color. It is great for spring, summer, winter, and even fall. I have really fallen in love with this color. 

The color that appears sandy brown is bbf best boyfriend, and is actually a nude color that goes great if you want something on your nails that isn't really noticeable. 

The clear teal is all in one base.... aka a base coat. 

I also love O.P.I nail polish.

Monograms Galore

"If Its Not Moving, MONOGRAM It!" 

One of my favorite things are monograms. Monograms of any size, shape, or color. 

The things that I own that are monogrammed range from my agenda to my wall monogram sticker to my jacket to my rainboots etc. 

Many people have commented on many of my monogrammed items and have asked "where did you get that cute monogram decal from?" Today I am here to answer everyone's questions! Below I have included some pictures and names of stores that sell super cute, cheap, and durable monogram decals!

Even though this isn't a monogram decal, I thought I should still include this picture. It is my monogrammed NorthFace. Not only is it warm, but it is also stylish and cute!

What's In My Bookbag

This was requested on my Instagram by numerous people so I am here to fulfill your requests and show you what is in my bookbag!  

1. I always keep my Lilly Pulitzer agenda/planner in my bag. Since I love to stay organized, I color coordinate my agenda. At the beginning of the year I assigned each class a color that I felt like went with it. Ex. Science is green and Latin is blue. 

Shortly I will be making a video on agenda organization tips so make sure you follow my YouTube Channel. 

2. The next thing that is in my bag is my Lilly Pulitzer calculator. It is the second one that I have since I broke the first one... Whoops! You can buy them in almost any Lilly Pulitzer store, or find them online at their website www.lillypulitzer.com . 

3. My throat can get very dry after, during class, or out of school so I always keep my CamelBak nearby! It is a pink CamelBak eddy with my monogram on it. I ordered my decal from The Preppy Ladybug's Etsy shop.

4. Pencils, pens, and hilighters are a must at school. Colorful pens and hilighters make it easier to color coordinate my agenda. Some of my favorite pens are:

Snow Day OOTD ❄

Today it snowed....again! 

Where I live we either 

•get no snow 

OR

•it only snows once every 5-7 years 

Well, today it snowed for the second time in a month. After sitting by the fire drinking hot chocolate I decided that I should post my snow day OOTD.
